In 2003, Zalman’s father, a longtime diamond dealer, opened the doors of a small jewelry boutique. While well-versed in the diamond trade, he didn’t know much about managing a shop, so he hired Zalman to manage the new showroom.

Over the next fifteen years, Zalman built the business from the ground up. Young, driven, and passionate, he poured his heart and soul into creating a jewelry shop that stood out for its carefully curated collection, exceptional quality, and stellar track record. His hard work paid off; today, the business has dedicated clients from around the globe who keep coming back to the shop they know and love.

After a decade spent building a strong family business, we decided it was time to venture out on our own and share our passion, knowledge, and creative expression with our customers in a space that was uniquely ours.

Our new little business needed a name, and we soon found one that fit us perfectly. We started with ‘Amor,’ the Spanish word for ‘love’. Jewelry is something that is bought with love, given with love, and received with love—and most importantly, we put a little bit (or a lotta bit, really) of love into every part of our business and everything we do.

In the summer of 2012, we opened the doors to our beautiful, upstate New York Amor Fine Jewelry showroom in the calm quiet of the Catskill mountains.

We didn’t know if we would make it, but we were determined to try—and by the end of the season, it was clear that our first stint as an independent jewelry business was a rousing success. With our confidence boosted, we continued operating our seasonal shop every summer thereafter (and still do, in fact!).

As our customer base grew, we decided it was time to create a more central and permanent space so we could better serve our Amor family. After eight months of intense planning and building, pulling on our nearly two decades of experience in the industry to design the perfect space, we were thrilled to open the doors of our flagship store at 4606 13th Avenue, in the heart of Brooklyn’s Boro Park.

Launching this new chapter in our story has been an incredible experience. We’re excited to provide you with a luxurious shopping experience in a modern and beautiful showroom that was designed with you in mind. And while our physical space may have changed, our values remain the same.

First and foremost, we are committed to providing our customers—our second family—with unparalleled service and care.
